Common traces is an exhibition that tells the philosophy of the neighbourhood platform Imagina un Boulevard on the construction of the city and other experiences of citizen participation in different parts of the world. In audiovisual, textual and graphic formats it shows the urban changes proposed for the entrance of Oviedo city. In addition, it shows the before and after of other similar actions and their processes of participation in different places of the world.

The city is not a system that can be ordered by means of statistics and calculation, rather, it is a complexity composed of thousands of specific realities with their own and interdependent dynamics. As Jane Jacobs (1961) would say, a complex but organized system whose understanding lies in applying the same tactics of the life sciences, that is, a microscopic and detailed look that, in an organic way, goes from the singular to the general, observing behaviours and not mere presences.
